What is a Study Tour?
Study Tours are unique educational experiences focused on study and cultural immersion ranging from a few days to a few weeks while exploring everything that beautiful tropical Cairns has to offer.
Tours can be customised to meet diverse group needs. Programs can include a variety of interactive College or local school-based activities, and a wide variety of educational excursions to improve students English and experience ‘the Australian way of life’
For groups more academically focused, opportunities can be provided to visit local businesses and find out the ‘back story of how the business’ is run, this is popular with the tourism, hospitality and agricultural sectors.
Why choose Cairns for a Study Tour?
Easy access to the Great Barrier Reef and World Heritage Rainforest
Many groups choose to take excursions outside of the city, and we can easily arrange for your students to explore the reef, take a trip on the historic Kuranda train or experience the local beaches and rainforest. The Cairns region has a wide variety of amazing attractions for groups to enjoy
Why choose YouSTUDY International College for your Study Tour?
We have a safe, friendly school environment
Cairns has a reputation for being a friendly city and our school and its staff work hard to ensure that every student feels comfortable in their school environment. Our building allows students to mix and practice English outside of class time, and we encourage our students to practice using English all the time they are at school.
We have 30 years of experience in running study tours
Our staff can put together a study program specifically designed to meet your needs, regardless of whether you want to explore the Great Barrier Reef, experience the local wildlife, or achieve a specific academic objective or exam score.
Flexible scheduling
Our program schedules can be designed to suit the needs of your students and your schedule. Older students (16 years and above) have the option of being integrated into our mainstream classes, allowing them to experience studying with different cultures.
Compact city close to major tourist attractions
Our school is conveniently located on the edge of the Cairns central business district and is within easy walking distance of a wide range of local attractions and sightseeing spots.
Network of friendly homestay families within easy reach of school
Our carefully selected homestay families are conveniently located within easy reach of the school and commuting times are minimal, meaning our students can spend more time relaxing with their Australian families and experiencing the unique Australian lifestyle.
Volunteering opportunities
Our study tour groups can also choose to include a volunteering program into their schedule and this can be a great way for students to learn more about the ecology of Barrier Reef or Rainforest while helping the environment and the local community.
Young Learners Programs
For students aged 12-15 years old travelling as individuals, we also provide a one or two-week Young Learners program every year.
